Bloom Playroom was founded by teacher, mother and author Danielle Murray. As a primary school teacher, Danielle has spent over a decade working with children in the early years. Early childhood is truly her area of passion. Having witnessed the amazing benefits of play through her work in early childhood, Danielle engaged in postgraduate study in play therapy. She completed her Graduate Certificate of Therapeutic Child Play through Deakin University and clinical training in Child Centred Play Therapy. Danielle is a qualified practitioner registered with the Play Therapy Practitioners Association (PTPA).

Danielle is also the author of Before Big School: A Practical Parent's Guide to School Readiness. This book was Danielle’s maternity leave passion project. Since its release in March 2022, Before Big School has made its way into hundreds of parent’s hands and has been featured on Mamamia and Beyond the Bump podcast. Following on from this Danielle launched an online course expanding on the information from her book.

Danielle provides play therapy sessions and early learning support from her playroom in Mount Coolum on the Sunshine Coast.
